Bhindi Masala recipe ingredients

  • Bhindi- 1 kg
  • salt to taste
  • Kashmiri red chilli – 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Oil-4 tbsp
  • Cumin-1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Onion- 2 grated
  • Garlic – 1 tsp crushed
  • salt to taste
  • Kashmiri red chilli – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder- 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1 tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1/4 tsp

Bhindi masala in english recipe step by step 

To make Bhindi Masala, first of all we will take ladyfinger and wash it thoroughly and wipe the water dry with a cloth.

Now we will cut ladyfinger into big pieces.

Now we will add grated onion to the chopped lady’s finger. If you want, you can grind the onion lightly in a mixer.

Next we will add coarsely ground garlic which I had crushed.

Next we will add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder and salt as per taste.

Now we will add 2 tbsp mustard oil, this gives a very good taste to Bhindi Masala. But before adding mustard oil, heat the oil very well. When the oil gets heated well, then cool it. Use after it cools down.

Mix everything well in ladyfinger with your hands. So that the spices get applied everywhere in the ladyfinger.

Now we will turn on the gas, put a pan on the gas and add 2 tablespoons of mustard oil in it.

As soon as the oil becomes slightly hot, we will add cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds. Will fry for a few seconds.

Now we will add the ladyfinger that we had prepared and fry it on high flame for about 5 minutes.

In between, keep stirring the ladyfinger gently with the help of a ladle so that the ladyfinger does not stick to the bottom.
Now we will put the lid and reduce the gas flame to medium and cover and cook the ladyfinger for 5 minutes.
Keep stirring the ladyfinger with a ladle in between.

Cover and cook the ladyfinger for about 10 to 12 minutes.

We will turn off the gas flame and take it out in a plate.
