- Wheat flour – 2 cups
- Boiled Potato – 6 medium size
- Onion – 1 medium size
- Green chili – 1-2
- Cumin – 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Coriander seeds – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder r-1-1/2 tsp
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Dry mango powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
- salt to taste

Recipe of aloo paratha with step by step picture
To make Punjabi Aloo Paratha, we will first prepare the dough by applying flour. Take a big bowl to make the dough.
In the bowl, we will put wheat flour as well as a little salt, mix everything well.
Now add water little by little and knead a very soft dough.
Now cover the dough and keep it for 10 minutes.
Till then we prepare the masala (mixture)of Aloo Paratha.
Turn on the gas and put a pan on the gas and put 2 tbsp oil in the pan.
As soon as the oil becomes slightly hot, take coriander seeds and mashing them with hands and put them in the oil.
Also add cumin seeds and fry on medium flame for 1 minute.
Now we will add chopped onions, chopped green chillies and finely chopped ginger and garlic.
Will mix all the things and cook for 2 minutes while stirring with a ladle.
Keep in mind that you do not have to cook the onions too much, there should be a little crunch.
Switch off the flame of the gas, now next we will add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and dried mango powder and mix everything.
Now we will add boiled potatoes and with the help of a masher, we will mash the potatoes well.
Now again turn on the gas flame and cook the potato masala for 1 minute.
Will add next salt and garam masala as per taste and mix them all well in potatoes.
Will add chopped coriander in the last and mix it too.
Switch off the gas flame and let the aloo masala cool down.
As soon as the potato masala cools down, we will knead our dough once more.
Now make a ball of flour slightly bigger than the size of a lemon.
Take a ball of dough, apply a little dry flour on it and roll it with light hands.
Do not roll the roti too thin, just roll it in the shape of a puri.
Then fill the potato masala in the middle of the roti and fold it from all sides and make a bundle.
Flatten the prepared dough by pressing it with your palm.
Now again apply a little palthan on it and roll it with light hands.
Keep a griddle on medium heat for heating.
As soon as the griddle gets hot, now place the rolled paratha on the griddle.

- Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
- Dry mango powder – 1 tsp
- Green chili – 3
- Garlic cloves – 12
- Coriander leaves chopped – 1/4 cup
- salt to taste
- oil / ghee

- To make Dhaba Style Aloo Paratha, we will first knead the dough.
- So take wheat flour in a vessel and add half a teaspoon of salt as well.
- Now add 1 tbsp oil and mix it well.
- Now add water little by little and knead a soft dough.
- Now cover the kneaded dough and keep it for 10 minutes.
- Now we will take a pan, put cumin seeds, whole coriander and black pepper in it.
- Roast all the spices on low flame for a few seconds.
- Now grind all the spices in a mortar or if you want, grind them in a mixer.
- Now crush garlic and green chillies as well.
- Now we will take boiled potatoes in a vessel and mash them well.
- Now we will add the masala that we have prepared to the mashed potatoes.
- If you don’t want to make it too spicy, then add only one spoon of the prepared spice.
- Next we will add red chili powder, garam masala powder and salt as per taste.
